Hope shines in the victory of West Indies against Bangladesh

Shai hope’s 146 helped West Indies to level the series by 1-1

After losing the 1st ODI the West Indies were all set to deliver their best and they executed their thoughts and hard work in second ODI as they won against Bangladesh by 5 wickets. But the good things for them was their best man Shai hope has delivered his best performance in the right time. Shai hope hit 146 in 141 balls and lead his team over the Bangladeshi score line in 49.4 over i.e. before 2 balls of their innings. Hope's 146 was his career's best score in ODI match and also only his 3rd ODI hundred.

After winning the toss, West Indies captain Rovman Powell decided to field first so Bangladesh started their target build up process. Tamim Iqbal, Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan played well to get 50 + score but all of them cannot converted it into a big hundred as a result they finished their inning at 255-7 in 50 overs. In the bowling Oshane Thomas bowled beautifully and took 3 for 54 in his 10 overs. Other bowlers also bowled well in their spells.

West Indies' start was quite slow as compared to the Bangladesh but the good thing was, they only lost a wicket at the end of the power play. Shai hope has started his innings slowly, try to hold up the game and had build small partnership with every batsman to hit his mammoth hundred and 46 runs. Throughout the inning, he hit 12 fours and 3 sixes and took his team beyond the target. The Bangladeshi bowlers were unable to beat his bat and knock his stump, no one succeed to trouble hope throughout the innings. Rubel hossain and Mustafizur Rahman took 2 wickets each and quite economically Shakib Al Hasan bowled his 10 with the economy of 2.8 but all are unable to get hope, as a result they lost the match by 4 wickets.

Shai Hope was declared as a player of the match for his brilliant 146 match winning knock of 141 deliveries. With this victory Windies managed to draw a 3 match ODI series by 1-1. The divider of the series will be played on 14 Dec in sylhet.
